Cherrell leads the coordination, and oversight of mediation programs at the Mediation Center of Dutchess County, supporting both community and court-referred cases. She is deeply committed to conflict resolution as a tool for clarity, accountability, and meaningful change, especially in high-conflict and emotionally complex situations.

With over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families, Cherrell brings a relational, systems-focused lens to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has completed training in Transformative Mediation, with additional experience in court-mandated programming, family systems work, and restorative approaches. Her background allows her to hold space for difficult conversations while helping people move toward resolution in a way that feels both practical and humane.

Cherrell is known for her calm presence, direct communication style, and ability to balance structure with empathy. She believes conflict, when handled well, can be an entry point to growth rather than harm.

Corey provides the general administrative support necessary to ensure smooth operations for the MCDC. Those experiences are grounded in her lifelong commitment to service and trainings in mediation and conscious communication.
