Overview

Volunteers Play a Vital Role in Our Community

Whether they bring months, years, or decades of experience – MCDC volunteer mediators offer invaluable services to the community. After rigorous training in transformative mediation, they help neighbors work through times of crisis.

Volunteer mediators facilitate 97% of cases we take on. Together, they’ve touched thousands of lives and we are grateful.

We are now actively recruiting for up to 4 participants to take our March 2023 Initial Mediation Training (IMT).  Applicants must live or work in Dutchess County and make a 1-year volunteer commitment to MCDC after certification. If you’re interested, you can learn more about the path to becoming a volunteer mediator hereTo begin the process, you will need to sign up for one of our upcoming orientation and Q&A sessions.
